Condition Guide

All items on arevua are pre-owned unless stated otherwise. We check each item by hand and assign a condition grade so you know exactly what to expect before you buy.

The guide below explains what our condition labels mean across books, films, music, games and fashion.

Overall Condition Grades

• Like New – Looks almost unused. Very light signs of handling only. Any packaging, inserts or accessories are complete.
• Very Good – Gently used, well looked after. Minor cosmetic marks (small corner wear, faint surface marks) but nothing that affects use or readability/playback.
• Good – Clear signs of use. May include creases, scuffs, soft corners or small marks. Fully functional with all main content intact.
• Acceptable – Well-used but still serviceable. More noticeable wear, such as heavier creasing or cosmetic marks. Any major issues will be described in the listing.

Books & Comics

• Like New – Tight binding, clean pages, no writing or highlighting. Dust jacket (if included) very fresh with minimal shelf wear.
• Very Good – Light shelf wear, small corner bumps or minor spine creasing. Pages clean and fully readable. Any previous owner marks will be minimal.
• Good – Noticeable spine creases, edge wear or small marks. May include a name written inside or light underlining, but still very readable.
• Acceptable – Heavy reading wear, such as strong creases, tanning or visible marks. All pages present, with any defects described in the product notes.

DVDs, Blu-ray, CDs & Games Discs

• Like New – Disc looks unplayed or nearly unplayed. Case and artwork in excellent shape with no cracks or major marks.
• Very Good – Very light surface marks on the disc that do not affect playback. Case may show minor shelf wear.
• Good – Light to moderate surface marks from normal use, but tested and working. Case may have stickers or small cracks.
• Acceptable – Heavier wear to the disc and/or case. The item still plays, but cosmetic wear will be more obvious. Any missing inserts or replacement cases will be mentioned in the listing.

Vinyl Records

• Like New – Record looks barely played with a clean, glossy surface. Sleeve in excellent condition with very minor shelf wear only.
• Very Good – Light hairline marks that should not impact normal playback. Sleeve may have small creases or edge wear.
• Good – Noticeable but moderate surface marks and some crackle expected. Sleeve may show ring wear, stronger creasing or small splits.
• Acceptable – Heavier cosmetic wear and noise during playback. Sleeve may have larger splits, writing or more visible damage. Any major issues will be clearly described.

Clothing & Accessories

• Like New – Worn once or twice at most. No visible flaws. Fabric and colour still crisp with no signs of wash wear.
• Very Good – Light general wear. Minor signs of washing or handling but no obvious damage or stains.
• Good – Regular wear with some small imperfections such as light pilling, minor fading or tiny marks. Any flaws will be noted in the description.
• Acceptable – Clearly worn with more noticeable signs of use, such as stronger fading, pilling or small repairs. Still usable and clean.
